Hear what Lex has to say…

Here's the thing...I worked in a corporate environment for 4 years. Team building is...weird. As a leader, manager or executive you want to bring your team closer together and build connections. But the average 9-5er doesn't want to meet after work...they are tired, they want to go home. The average Gen X, Millennial or Gen Z in the current job market doesn't have the energy or willingness to give up precious time they could be spending with family or friends to watch Dave from Finance get tipsy at 4pm on a Tuesday.

Practical team building such as lectures, lunch and learns and happy hours are surface level and only slap a ban-aid on the connection that is your team's functionality. Our jobs and careers are where the majority of our time goes and more people than ever are looking to incorporate actual purpose and meaning into their work. A more "woo-woo" or spiritual approach to team building might be the very fabric that sows your team's ability to come together and make impactful change and transformation in the world. And research shows that when teams feel more purpose driven in the work they do, your bottom line and business progress up and forward!
